The family-run Business-Hotel Garni Schumacher in the center of Filderstadt-Bernhausen, right next to the airport and the Stuttgart Trade Fair, is the ideal location for business travelers, frequent flyers, trade fair, congress and concert visitors, sales representatives and musical visitors. The term hotel garni comes from the French and literally means “(furnished) hostel”. Garni hotels are usually privately run and generally offer breakfast, while there is no traditional restaurant service. This is also the case at the Garni Hotel Schumacher.
We offer underground parking spaces for a fee as well as a limited number of parking spaces in front of the building.
The S-Bahn leaves right outside our front door and takes just 3 minutes to the airport and exhibition hall and 30 minutes to Stuttgart city center. The S-Bahn runs every 30 minutes. Continue to the timetable information

The city’s calendar of events provides a good overview of what is on when and where. Filderstadt also has a lot to offer culturally with the Filharmonie and the Filum.
In the immediate vicinity of the hotel and the apartments, you will find numerous stores and supermarkets for self-catering within walking distance. The pedestrian zone in the Königsstraße area of Stuttgart’s city center invites you to take an extended stroll through the city. The Outletcity Metzingen shopping paradise with all the popular fashion labels can be reached by car in around 20 minutes.
Stuttgart as a business location is strongly influenced by the automotive industry. This is also reflected in the cultural landscape with the Mercedes Benz Museum and the Porsche Museum. International art is housed in the Staatsgalerie and the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart.
